All international medical graduates must apply through a physiciansapply.ca account.

This fee is paid once and is separate from the MCCQE Part I examination fee.

Fees Related to Medical Credential Verification

Medical credentials must be verified before or during the application process.

If multiple documents are transferred to a third party, the following fees apply:

  • File transfer service: 65.00 Canadian dollars per document
  • File transfer service for four or more documents transferred to the same third party in a single transaction: 260.00 Canadian dollars

Eligibility Window and Scheduling Related Fees

  • Eligibility window extension: 120.00 Canadian dollars

If the MCCQE Part I application fee has increased since the original application, the difference must also be paid.

Payment Currency and Methods

All MCCQE Part I-related fees are processed as follows:

  • Payments are made in Canadian dollars
  • Accepted payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, and prepaid or secured credit cards
  • Interac, Visa debit, and MasterCard debit cards are not accepted

Unused funds remaining in an account for three full calendar years are forfeited as of December 31 of the third full calendar year.

What the MCCQE Part I Fee Includes

For candidates who apply for the MCCQE Part I after January 26, 2026:

  • The Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada is issued automatically
  • No additional steps, fees, or follow-up are required for the LMCC

For candidates who applied before this date, the LMCC application requires a separate fee.
